About Our Mobile Truck Repair Team in Cedar Rapids, IA

Wells Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair LLC is owned by Jerry Wells. Jerry was a working mechanic long before he started the company, and he built it on a simple idea: fleets and drivers should not have to bring a truck to the shop when the shop can come to the truck.

Today we run two hubs. Our Iowa hub is home base in Cedar Rapids, covering Linn County and the I-80 and I-380 corridors. Our Tennessee hub in Nashville covers Davidson County and the surrounding counties along I-65 and I-40. We work on tractors, trailers, box trucks, and fleet units.

We keep the phone on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. That is not a slogan. It is the job.

Who calls us

Most of our work comes from fleets and from breakdown dispatch services that need a reliable mechanic on the other end of the phone at any hour. More and more fleets also use us for on site PMs and DOT inspections, so the same team that handles their breakdowns keeps their units in shape.

How we work

Every call starts with a clear picture of the problem. We find the cause before we start replacing parts, and we explain the fix in plain words before the work begins. We do roadside and on site repairs where it is safe and permitted. If a job needs a shop, we say so up front.
